Current situation on the reduction of the antibiotic use in animal farming in Italy

Short term targets

• 1. Signing of the protocol for the reduction of AMR between farmer associations, agriculture and sanitary departments
• 2. Sharing, trough the agreement Stato-Regioni of the guidelines and elaboration of the guidelines for the avian production
• 3. Increasethe research of zoonotic resistant bacteria, by widening the sampling in the farms and the risk population (farmers, vets, processing plant workers)
• 4. In 2018 training of public and private vets( “Veterinario Aziendale”)
